Haven't been to see a Dr here in 5 yrs but find Diabetic clinic brilliant. Turned up at 8.45 for open clinic...were a lot of people waiting. I did not see a Dr until 11 ...a 2 and a quarter hour wait. What with no air conditioning and feeling ill I nearly passed out. There was supposed to be a first come first served system but a few people come in ages after me and went in straight away . It did not help that one of the 3 Drs went off for an hour or so. I shall not visit the Drs for another 5 yrs. At least I was given some blood tests...another half hour wait.
Booked an appointment to see the nurse and unfortunately encountered the most unprofessional, condescending and rude receptionist. Other than my awful experience at reception the nurse was highly professional and extremely helpful.
Like most men, I only ever use the doctors as a last resort, I fear treading over the threshold! But when I do, over the years I have had no cause for complaint. Staff and Doctors have always been excellent, friendly and helpful. I can imagine being behind reception can be very difficult at times . People these days, especially when ill, have very little patience. I dropped one star as the appointments system can be very trying sometimes. Ringing first thing means using redial and crossing your fingers! But I can honestly say I've never had a problem getting an appointment. Maybe I've just been lucky.

Nearly impossible to get an appointment! One receptionist said they were fully booked and cant make appointments, I called back 5 minutes later to complain and got a different receptionist who booked me in for an appointment 3 weeks later! I dont understand their booking system at all after this!
